Turkey Burgers

Ingredients:

Lean (93/7) or Extra Lean Turkey Meat (99/1)  ~ I used Jenni O brand 1.25lb  – sometimes I mix 1/2 lean and 1/2 extra lean
1 whole egg or can just add 1 egg white
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/4 cup low fat grated cheddar cheese (can omit~ I do sometimes and add feta cheese instead or no  cheese)
Optional: I added some chopped raw spinach and reduced fat feta cheese..didn’t measure
Seasonings ~ I use sea salt, crushed red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
get creative and add any seasonings you like..Mrs Dash southwest chipotle is one of my faves, cajun seasoning, ..you get the point!
Non stick spray (I use Pam ~ purely olive oil)


Directions:

Mix all ingredients into a bowl
Make patties
You can grill on medium heat for approx 10 min each side. I usually spray the grill with non stick spray so they don’t stick.
You can also bake in the oven.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
I place foil on cookie sheet (use cookie sheet that has edges to catch juice) and spray with non stick spray
place patties on sheet and bake for approx. 30 min.
